Hi I’m David.
The Authentic Photographer was born out of multiple moments in life, laid off from a job, finishing college unhappy and lost, that made me realize I didn’t want the traditional path. I wanted to live a life of creativity.
Creativity, photography, videography, & marketing all allowed me to take back control and live the life that I wanted.
Through learning skills like photography & videography and how to implement them. my goal is to give you the tools to move forward into this world where the traditional 9-5 is dead & just isn’t cutting it anymore.
As for me, I am a working professional. Filmmaker, Photographer & YouTuber. I’ve been at this for 12+ years from weddings full-time to working with local and national brands.
My journey started out by me trying to express what I felt through photography. It gave me so much more than that, and now it is time for me to give back.

Introducing the DJO Powergrade for Davinci Resolve & Dehancer users. When I first started out in DaVinci Resolve the very first thing I did was purchase a Powergrade to get me up and running FAST. This allowed me to learn how nodes work and some best practices while still being able to produce content without a huge hit to my efficiency.
I primarily use Canon mirrorless & cinema cameras like the R6 Mark II, R5 Mark II, R5C, C70, and C400. This Powergrade is basically your new best friend for C-log 3 and C-log 2 footage, even RAW footage after being interpreted into C log 2. Don’t have one of those cameras? I owned the Sony A7s III & A7iv before switching to Canon and this will still work with Sony S-log 3 and even Rec 709 footage. Because why should Canon users have all the fun?
