Lightroom Presets
Less time struggling, more time creating.
I’ve spent years learning the in’s and out’s of editing in Lightroom & Photoshop, literally over a decade. But why should you?
Presets are a fantastic way to “outsource” that time. Maybe you are just starting out but you’ve run straight into a wall, and that wall is “I’ve taken awesome photos but have no idea how to edit them.” Or maybe you know what you are doing and are looking for some new ideas.
Presets are a way for you to edit your photos, make them look great, and then learn through experimentation what sliders effect what, rather than starting from nothing.
If I had to pick one this would be it, The Starter Preset. This is the all-around. The do everything. Warm vibes, film like look. This is the one you should start with.
I’ve used Canon & Sony primarily in my professional work and you will see examples of those below on top of iPhone photos. Who doesn’t take photos with their iPhone and what better way to spice up those photos and keep things consistent across the board or just put your best foot forward, or edit in this case. In any case this will work on all camera brands.
Note: This is a Lightroom preset. You will need to have installed Lightroom Classic for desktop and Lightroom for mobile.
Tips
Good lighting always wins. Window light. Sunset & Sunrise light, those are the vibe.
ALWAYS shoot RAW. iPhone doesn’t have to be RAW.
Slider to fine tune: White Balance, Exposure, Contrast, Grain.
Quick start guide included for installation and best practices.
